Not a rule that applies to most things
but these dried strawberries from Carpo (near Piccadilly Circus) are definitely tastier
than their fresh selves, just what you need for a "pick me up" on Mondays...

I used to eat tons of dried figs and apricots ans sometimes plums and apples until I tried dried mango and strawberry. Especially in winter when you don't get the fresh ones, they are just a fantastic alternative.
